The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Choir
They have strong links to the Women’s Library, and there are videos of their performances available. Get involved if you feel like a change from reading.

ACON
The Aids Council of NSW. They run some lesbian coming out groups and have a lesbian health worker.

Older Women's Network, Sydney
Aims to promote the rights, dignity and wellbeing of older women. A self-help group run by volunteers, aims to promote enricdhmnet, mujtual support, companionship and friendship amongst older women; challenge negative attitudes about ageing; promote healthy agening, which includes social, intellectual, physical and emotional factors; and to influence the outcome of policy decisions affecting our lives.

Do you want to explore wilderness places? BE guided by local women, expert on their home ground. Extend your comfort zones in the outdoors, and meet women from other destinations. Small groups explore scenic areas of environmental significance.

Sydney Gay and Lesbian CounsellingService.

Telephone counselling available 5.30pm to 10.30pm, 7 days a week. They're trying to get a lesbian specific line set up so check out their website for details - or, why don't you volunteer yourself! We have heard it can be hard to get through on the phones but keep on persevering. They also run a women's coming out group 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month in Newtown, Sydney.

Reclaim the Night

The philosophy of Reclaim The Night encourages grass roots participation in the organisation of events by as many women as possible.  In this way it is able to draw together women from diverse backgrounds and experiences to work together in addressing issues of sexual violence against women and children.
